Appleby Golf Course

A gem of a course, with it's natural contours and fairways. Some new bunkers will make it challenging to any player.
The greens are a Bent / Fescue mix and are fast for this time of year.
Appleby is on common land so it is unusual as sheep and horses are grazing. The greens and bunkers are protected by a small electric fence. This all adds to its charm and staff are very friendly .
Worth a visit!

"Yes times have changed",it was said when keen golfing Japanese President of the Nissan Motor Corporation ,Yutaka Kume opened the factory in 1986 he was not made welcome at local golf courses and embarrassingly could not even obtain a round of golf in the area!
This was one of the many sparks that eventually lead to the creation of a new course now known as Sharpley
It was a pleasure to have Nissan here today. 5th April 2013
